SAND WATER FILTER
SAND WATER FILTER
PURPOSE: The closed-type sand filter is mainly used for the removal of mechanical particles (removal of coarsely dispersed substances in the form of particles size 0–1 mm) that swim, float, or settle in water. It is used mainly as a rapid filter to filter water for boiler rooms, open and closed swimming pools, and industrial plants.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS: The capacity of our sand filters is 1–100 m3/h of purified water, and they can be used for working pressures up to 6 bar. Vessel dimensioning was carried out according to existing regulations. It is of a closed type. The vessel is made as a pressure vessel, vertical type, from S.0361, by welding. The vessel is protected from the inside with appropriate epoxy coatings, and on the outside with primer. The vessel has two inspection openings. A supporting plate with the appropriate number of nozzles is placed in the lower part of the vessel. On the supporting plate, there is a filling consisting of 3 layers of washed quartz sand of different granulation.
WATER FILTERS WITH ACTIVATED CARBON
WATER FILTERS WITH ACTIVATED CARBON
A filter with activated carbon serves mainly to remove micropollutants in water (specific organic and non-organic substances from water, certain heavy metals, toxins produced by algae, and unwanted by-products of water disinfection), and since it can also remove pollutants that cause odors, it is often used to make drinking water more drinkable.
